End-to-end solutions from raw materials to production equipments for PU foam and mattress.
The article discusses the block conveying and storage system in a polyurethane soft foam production line. Conveyor belts or roller conveyors are commonly used to transport foam blocks to the curing area. Fresh foam blocks that have been foamed for less than 24 hours should not be stacked. They can be laid flat in a single layer or stored in curing racks.
After curing, foam blocks can be stacked. Blocks shorter than 2 meters can be stacked manually or using forklifts with clamping arms. For transferring and stacking long foam blocks in the curing facility, hoisting equipment can be used, with large hoisting machines capable of lifting foam blocks up to 60 meters or longer.
Using conveyors to transport foam blocks into curing racks with transmission devices is an effective storage method that saves space and enhances safety. The length, number of layers, and units of the curing racks can be adjusted according to production capacity and storage needs.
If foam strips require directional changes during transportation, specialized turning rollers or turntables should be used.
The curing rack storage system allows for flexible access to foam blocks at different units and levels, facilitating management, saving space, and ensuring adequate gaps between blocks for heat dissipation. This is crucial for production safety.
